It is a truism many Nigerian artistes find it difficult to get a huge number of views for their videos on online streaming channels especially on YouTube. As hard as this might be, a set of artistes still manages to release videos that attract one million hits in the twinkling of an eye. Check out the list these super artistes below.
Nigerian producer, Maleek Berry, did not only show us his other side as a super talented singer when he dropped hit single Kontrol last year, he also showed us how magical he could be when the visual for the single was released- the video gathered one million views in less than a month. The new video to another track off his Last Daze Of Summer EP, Eko Miami, has pulled off the same feat.
Afro-fusion act, Runtown, went on a long hiatus after the release of his debut album Ghetto University in 2015 only to return last year with a Tspize-produced banger, Mad Over You, whose video hit one million in less than two weeks of release.
It has become a regular practice for Nigerian pop superstar, Davido and his team, DMW, to celebrate one million views in days after the release of any new song. About a year ago, Mayokun’s Eleko which was released via Davido’s YouTube account hit one million views in just twelve days. The youngster has done it again with his two weeks old ‘If’ that has attained over two million views.
Nigerian pop icon, Wizkid, makes the list with Daddy Yo, a dancehall classic he released during the last Yelutide. The two months old video recorded over a million views in just two weeks after release and currently has almost six million views.
