6 Nigerian Music Producers Who Blessed 2019 with their Amazing Sounds

As 2019 is coming to an end, it is necessary that we celebrate 6 Nigerian music producers responsible for the making of some smash hits that made the year so much fun.

Why did I choose six producers? I chose to highlight just six producers because we have tens of music producers who did beautifully well this year and I would not want to bore you with an editorial that is too lengthy.

Check out below the 6 Nigerian music producers who blessed 2019 with their amazing sounds.

1. Rexxie

Do I need to say much about Rexxie? Well, in case you didn’t know, the magical music maker is rave of the moment Naira Marley’s producer. This year alone they have five hits which include Illuminati, Am I A Yahoo Boy, Opotoyi, Puta, Mafo. Rexxie has worked with other big stars as Teni and Zlatan Ibile for some big songs.

2. Pheelz

YBNL Nation’s in-house producer, Pheelz, is one of the most consistent music producers in the Nigerian music entertainment scene. The  Alternative/ Hip-Hop music producer has been creating monster hits for more than half a decade now and doesn’t seem to want to stop doing that anytime soon. The brilliant music maker is responsible for the making of Tiwa Savage’s huge classic, 49-99 and Fireboy’s hit joint, What If I Say and Teni’s trending song, Billionaire which is off her fresh, critically acclaimed EP, Billionaire.

3. Young John

In 2014, Young John ”The Wicked Producer” took over Nigeria’s music scene after the release of Olamide’s Bobo, a monster hit, that got every elder and kid doing the Shakiti Bobo dance. He dominated for a couple of years but things, later, became rough for the talented beat maker because of the huge competition of those times. He upped his game and finally, he came back bigger and better in 2019 with Kizz Daniel’s Fvck You- a song that got almost every Nigerian artist doing their covers. While this was still trending, the dance song specialist released his own record, Ello Baby ft. Tiwa Savage & Kizz Daniel which is still banging today. Young John is apparently one of the top 6 Nigerian music producers of 2019.

4. Shizzi

This list would not be complete without the inclusion of Shizzi. The genius music producer birthed Davido’s Blow My Mind ft. Chris Brown. The hit single topped African music charts for weeks after release. It also rose to the top of the US Billboard Charts at a point in time. That alone is sufficient to rank him as one of the top 6 Nigerian music producers who blessed 2019 with their exciting tunes.

5. Sarz

Sarz is another great producer that has kept his relevance for many years. There is never a year the revered producer won’t have some beautiful songs for us to enjoy and cherish.  Afro-House queen Niniola’s Designer and Reminisce’s fresh rap banger, OGB4IG, are two of his gifts of 2019.

6. Kel P

I bet you are already familiar with the signature ‘it’s Kel P Vibes’. The vastly talented music maker rose to prominence last year with Burna Boy’s monster hit and has since then been on top of his game. This year, he has the production credit for a couple of hit tracks off Burna Boy’s African Giant album and Timaya’s Chulo Vibes EP.
