Hours from now, we will step out of the fun-filled month of July into a new month- August. It is necessary that we look back and give special recognition to the jams that made July so much fun. Since over fifty dope songs dropped this month, I will only highlight the top 10 Nigerian songs in the month so that I don’t bore you with an ‘epistle’. These songs rank top ten for the month of July, 2018, because they were the most streamed and most downloaded across top music platforms. They are also, as I write, the biggest in the clubs, at parties and on the streets and the biggest on our airwaves. Check out these hit records below.
About a week ago, a highly hilarious Afro Hip-Hop banger Faize Yi by Reminisce and Falz The Bahd Guy, dropped. The Streethop jam has been streamed and downloaded by thousands of their fans across various music platforms and qualifies as one of the top 10 Nigerian songs in the past month.
Selense ft. Kizz Daniel and Reekado Banks was so delicious Alter Plate General Harrysong, was encouraged a couple of weeks ago, to serve us a second round- Selense 2 ft. Dice Alies and Iyanya. The Yung Alpha which is doing greatly well on charts, is apparently one of the best records of July.
Two weeks ago, HKN Music finally rolled out B-Red’s then-hugely anticipated single Run Come ft. CDQ. The music was worth the wait as it was all over the place just few days after release. As at yesterday, it was number two on iTunes Nigeria Chart.
In July, Nigerian songstress Omawumi, joined the league of Streethop music makers with Malowa featuring one of the Streethop wonders of 2018, Slimcase and DJ Spinall. The Killertunes-produced banger is currently ‘disturbing’ every dance floor and the streets.
