Who ever thought indigenous rap heavyweight, Sodiq Abubakar Yusuf, who goes by the stage name CDQ, could act? He has just revealed he started in the Nigerian entertainment industry as an actor. This is coming as a surprise as he has never been linked, in any way, to the movie industry until now. The talented rapper went of social media few hours ago to share the news with a post which happens to be a snippet of a movie in which he was starred and added a caption ‘Throwback of life…I’ve been a strong hustler and self-dependent since I was a virgin’.
The movie which was released several years ago is titled Eni Jogun and was produced by two Nollywood veterans Taiwo Hassan and Yinka Quadri. The streethop star also captioned: ‘Don’t be surprised if I throw it on you’. Those words have no other interpretation than this: The gifted lyricist may be on the cast of a Nollywood movie that may be on our TV screens soon. It may also imply that he is planning to explore the movie industry once again in the near future. Watch out for the Say Baba crooner on your favourite Nigerian movie channel.
