In a couple of days, we step into a new month- the month of December. It is necessary that we look back to give special acknowledgement to the Nigerian songs that were not only released in the month of November but that also made the said month so much fun for us all. In order not to bore you with an epistle as so many dope songs were released, I will only highlight the top ten of the top Nigerian songs for November, 2018. These hot records are the most streamed and downloaded and some of them are currently buzzing on our airwaves, in the night clubs, at parties and on our streets as I write. Check out the trending records below.
For months, Streethop wonder of 2018 and Kalamo crooner, Slimcase, ‘tormented’ us with the news of the coming of Starboy’s Gucci Snake. Finally, the snake was unleashed earlier in the month and has ‘bitten’ and tens of thousands of his and Wizkid’s fans and has driven them into a state of frenzy.
At a time we thought he was done with songs this year, super versatile musician Burna Boy, sprang a surprise with the release of On The Low. The Kel P-produced vibe is apparently one of the top 10 Nigerian songs of November- it’s so dope you fall for the Dancehall-laced banger at first-listen.
Luck finally smiled on Nigerian music duo, 2Sec, who had struggled to attain fame for many years in November 2018, when they teamed up with Davido and Peruzzi for a magical Fresh-produced love sound titled My Head. This is a must-listen!
The month of November witnessed the release of about four albums. Banku Music front-liner, Mr Eazi, is one of the artistes who dropped their albums this month as he finally released his then-highly anticipated second music project, Lagos To London, which he also refers to as Life is Eazi Vol. 2. The playlist houses many dope songs. One of the hot tracks (maybe the hottest) Surrender ft. Simi, which has, lately, dominated the Nigerian airwaves.
This month, Davido Music Worldwide’s magic boy Mayorkun, also released his debut album, Mayor Of Lagos, that houses a number of hit tracks. A collaboration with Afrobeat(s) icon D’Banj, Oshepete, is one of the hottest tracks on the playlist and it’s so hot right now it qualifies as one of the top Nigerian songs for this month.
At a time the heat of Wetin We Gain hasn’t cooled down yet, Victor AD, put out another record, No Idea which has been widely accepted since release. It’s one of the top Nigerian songs for November, 2018.
Few days ago, disc jockey, superstar DJ Xclusive finally quenched our anxiety with the release of his then-much-awaited single, Ori Mi ft. Kizz Daniel. Despite the newness of the record it has become a new club banger.
